2. Overview

We process personal data only to the extent necessary for the functions of the app or where you have given your consent. Below you will find which data this is, for what purpose it is used and on which legal basis.

3. Distribution via the app stores

The app is distributed via the Apple App Store. When you download it, the necessary information (for example the name and email address of your store account, the time of download and a device identifier) is transferred to the respective store. We have no influence on this processing; the store operator is responsible for it (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland, or Google Ireland Limited, Ireland).

If you have agreed to this in your device settings, the stores provide us with aggregated usage statistics and anonymised crash reports. These do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally.

4. In-app purchases

The app offers in-app purchases. Payment is handled exclusively by the respective app store; we do not receive any payment data such as credit card or account numbers. We are only informed whether a purchase was successful in order to unlock the purchased content. The legal basis is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

5. Sync and sharing via iCloud

The app can sync your data between your devices via Apple iCloud (CloudKit) and, if you use a sharing or family feature, share it with people you invite. The data is stored in your iCloud account or in the shared iCloud account, not on our servers. We have no access to this data. Shared data is visible only to the people it is shared with.

Apple is responsible for the transfer and storage in iCloud; Apple's privacy policy applies. An iCloud account signed in on the device is required. You can turn off the app's use of iCloud in your device settings or stop sharing at any time; without iCloud the data stays on your device. The processing serves the feature you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

6. Additional information

Optionally, you can connect the app to WebUntis to import your timetable. You sign in with your school account, and the app retrieves the data directly from WebUntis. If you use the family feature, certain learning data of the child (study time, grades, streak, exams, timetable entries) and messages from parents are transferred via the app's iCloud database (Apple CloudKit). This data is deleted when you disconnect. All other data stays on your device.

7. Retention period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. It is deleted afterwards.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right at any time to

• access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR),
• withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
